Farmhouse, now house. Late c17 with later additions and alterations. Roughly
coursed slate-stone with granite quoins; graded slate roof. L-plan comprising
main range of 3-unit baffle-entry type with gabled range to rear on right.
2 storeys. Slightly irregular 3-window front; glazing bar sashes, all 16-paned
except centre on first floor, this and upper right horned with 3-light C19
casement to lower right; ground-floor windows with cambered yellow brick
heads. Central 2-panel nail-studded door with fleur-de-lys pointed strap
hinges in moulded wood surround with yellow brick wedged head under open
lean-to porch with monolithic granite columns. Integral end stack to right
and ridge stack immediately to left of entrance, but with dripstones. Slate
pigeon nesting ledges to left gable end and 2-light chamfered flat-faced
mullion window to right gable end on ground floor. Gabled range to rear
has reused late C16 four-centred granite doorway to right side with moulded
jambs, hollow spandrels and keystone. Single-storey and 2-storey lean-tos
also abutting right side. Left side and back wall of main range have 2-light
mullion windows made up from C17 stonework brought from elsewhere in late
C20.
Interior: Much altered mid-to late C20 but retains moulded cross beams to
left ground-floor room of main range.
