Farmhouse. Mid C17 rear, later C17 refronting, with later additions and
alterations. Rubble with stone dressings, rendered to rear, 2-span double Roman
tiled roof with raised coped verges and kneelers to rear block, gable stacks;
triple roll tiled stable attached to left, corrugated asbestos roof to lean-to to
right. Symmetrical front. 3 storeys and 3 windows 7 ground floor has two
3-light casements with wide ovolo mullions and surround, hood mould, central C19
gabled porch with scalloped bargeboards and plank door with glass insertion, first
floor has 2 windows as at ground and central similar 2-light window, 2nd floor has
similar 2-light casements under eaves, no hood mould; early C19 2-storey stable
attached to left has 2 doors and window with plank shutter all with segmental
heads, 2 loading doors under eaves, interior not accessible. Left return has
external stair to upper stable door, 2-span roof with lower block at rear, gable
to right has small square attic window with iron stanchion; right return has
similar attic window. Rear has varied windows, 3 at ground and first floor, 2 at
2nd floor, all casements except 2nd floor fixed lights, rear of stable has door in
chamfered frame and 3-light casement both with timber lintel. Interior: rear
block has winder stair, plank and batten doors, front left room has heavy lintel
to fireplace, front roof of 5 bays, 2 rows of purlins, principal rafters, ridge
purlin, 3 collars, one cambered, rear block of 4 bays, similar construction.
