NY 42 NE DACRE STAINTON

Farmhouse. Dated and inscribed over entrance WG Ag 55 DG Ag 54 1754, with C19
alterations. Pebble-dashed walls, under graduated greenslate roof with banded
ashlar chimney stacks. 2 storeys, 2 bays. C20 panelled door in painted stone
surround under pilastered-surround datestone. C20 casement windows in original
painted chamfered surrounds which have probably been 3-light with flat stone
mullions. Rear central doorway now partly blocked for casement window.
Flanking large 2-light chamfered stone-mullioned windows.
