SU 67 NW BASIIION PARK WALL LANE (north-east side)

2/16 Nos. 1 and 2, Godwins Lodge

G.V. II

2 Cottages. C18 in a Gothickstyle, with late C19 alterations, and C20
additions. Flint with red brick dressings, plat bands, and 2 flanking
brick pilasters on east and west faces with banded flint rustication. Old
tile roof with shaped parapeted gable ends. Catslide over outshot to south,
lean-to to north, and 2 late C19 gabled semi dormers to south with segmental
headed sashes. Central ridge stack, stack on slope to south with rusticated
flint band, and stack to north. 2 storeys and garret. East front: circular
garret casement with flint keystones. 3 first floor arched casements with
returned hoodmoulds, that to right with Y-tracery; 2 ground floor arched 4-
panelled door with glazed upper panels, overlight and returned hoodmould.
First floor arched casement with returned hoodmould in outshot to left.
West front similar with boarded door and first floor blank window to left.
