C16 cottage of three unit plan with firebay. C17 wing to north
east. Cottage timber-framed and plaster rendered. Steeply
pitched, plain tiled roof with end stack and rebuilt ridge
stack. One storey and attics. South west elevation has two
gabled dormers with horizontal sliding sashes. Three casements
with glazing bars and modern gabled brick porch. C17 wing
timber framed, rendered, partly rebuilt in brick in C18. Plain
tiled, hipped roof. Two storeys. Entry in north east angle.
Later brick porch. Headstone forming doorstep to threshold.
Segmental headed arches to four hung sashes in gable end.
Interior. Cottage originally open to roof with framed chimney
stack and large inglenook. Late C16 or early C17 stack inserted
into firebay. Lower courses of rubblestone, upper of red
brick. C18 moulded mantel shelf to fireplace in hall.
Chamfered main beams. C19 open string staircase with square
section balusters.
