House, altered to 2 cottages now returned to a single dwelling, and attached
barn. House late C17, barn added mid C18. Hammer-dressed stone, stone slate
roof. 2 storeys. House: 2-cell end baffle-entry plan. 1st cell has doorway
to left with composite jambs and deep flat-arched lintel with stop-chamfered
surround. Each cell has double-chamfered mullioned windows: those to ground
floor with lowered sill and altered to 2 wide lights and with inserted cottage
doorways, that to 2nd cell blocked. Hoodmould carried over both windows.
1st floor has 2 windows originally of 4 lights altered to 2 wide lights. Coped
gable to right with kneelers and stack. Other former gable stack at junction
with barn. Rear has 2-light window to left of inserted doorway. Other windows
with plain-stone surrounds. Barn attached to left: 3 bays. Segmental-arched
cart entry with skewbacks, composite jambs and chamfered surround.

Interior of barn has 2 king-post trusses carried on tall stone piers to north side.
