Farmhouse. Mid Cl7 and C18. Coursed rubble with ironstone dressings
and thatched roof.c 1985. Quoins and coped gables with kneelers. C19
off-centre brick ridge stack plus rebuilt stone ridge and gable stacks.
2 storeys plus garrets. 6 bays, single range. South front has an off-
centre flat roofed glazed porch with beaded jambs and C18 plank door,
flanked by single C19 canted bay windows, that to the right 2-storey,
each with 5-light casements. Beyond, to the left, a close boarded door
with wooden lintel and beyond it, a C20 3-light casement. Above,
flanking the bay window, 3 3-light casements with wooden lintels. East
gable has a central casement on each floor and to garret. West gable has
a blocked door to left and a C20 casement to right. Above, an eroded
datestone (1676?). Rear has an off-centre mid C19 single storey rear
wing and to west a long C19 lean-to porch. Interior has part of a cruck
truss near the centre and a single purlin principal rafter roof to the
east. Early C19 main staircase with ramped handrail and stick balusters.
Straight C18 stair to garret. 5 plank and 2 fielded panel doors, all C18.
