4/142 Out-building about 90 yards
south-west of Caradoc Court

GV II

Granary, now office and garage. C17 with later alterations. Squared sandstone
with sandstone dressings, tiled roof and stone stack. Five bays aligned west-
south-west/east-north-east. Two storeys. West gable has tallet stairs rising
from south to cambered mid-C19 doorway. Centrally placed in the gable is a 4-
light C17 mullioned window with hoodmould and quarries. East gable has two
similar windows, one to each level. North elevation has roughly central porch
with blocked segmental arch and hoodmould. South elevation has three early C20
garage entries from centre to right. To the left are three cast-iron windows,
probably early C20 in cambered heads. Interior has trusses carrying three
purlins to each side. The trusses each have two collars, the lower one
supported by two posts tied back to the principals. Above each lower collar
are two raking struts. Each pair of vertical posts has plain cut chamfer-stops.
