ABERDEEN

Rock-faced sandstone ashlar, concrete, breeze blocks, brick, cast-iron, steel
cables and wood. Stone piers on each river bank carry a pair of braced
cyclindrical tapered columns with spiked ball-finials; from the columns are
suspended steel cables from which is hung a wooden board-walk; outward from
the columns the main cables are secured under ramped stone, concrete, breeze
block and brick approaches with cast-iron railings and gates, some of the
main posts of which have ball finials. Maker's plaque is on the south side
of the horizontal brace between the southern pair of main columns. The other
part of the bridge is in Kings Caple CP (qv).
