SK 80 NW BRAUNSTON HIGH STREET (West side)

GV II


House, dated 1660 but much restored. Coursed rubble with steep stone tiled
roof. 1½ storeys, 4-unit plan built into slope so that ground floor is quite
high. To the left a shallow canted stone bay window, on tall stem, and a
square 4-light bay window with King mullion, beyond it 2-light dormers above,
renewed. Doorway, recessed in 4-centred stone arch, backing onto a stack.
Right of door, a 3-light wood mullioned window and former over, and the
datestone with initials A.T. End bay apparently an addition, with 3-light
wood mullions with wood lintels. C19 or C20 gable and axial stacks.
