south side. Slurried scantle slate single span roof with gabled ends and deep
eaves with paired brackets to soffit. Some early crested ridge tiles reused
from earlier house. Chimney stacks in gable ends.
Plan: Double depth plan, approximately square, with central entrance
hall/passage containing stairs at back and with principal room either side at
front and kitchen, dairy and servants'stair at rear.
Exterior: 2 storeys and attic. Symmetrical east front. 3 bays. 16-pane
sashes to first floor and 8 over 12-pane sashes to ground floor. Central
doorway with panelled reveals and original panelled door. Later porch with
octagonal timber posts supporting slated canopy. At rear, central tall round-
headed stair window with sash complete with glazing bars and radiating glazing
bar at top.
Interior: Stairs at rear of central stair hall with wreathed mahogany
handrail and stick balusters. Front room on south side has marble
chimneypiece. All the original internal joinery is intact including moulded
