Farmhouse, now house, and attached former stable. C17 with C20 alterations and
additions. Pennant rubble with limestone dressings and prominent long and short
quoins to porch, double Roman tiled roof with pennant and limestone gable stacks,
pantiled stable roof. L-plan, symmetrical front. 2½ storeys and 3 windows,
ground floor has 2 C20 reconstructed stone 3-light casements with hood mould,
central 2-storey gabled porch has small sidelights, C20 door in moulded limestone
surround, first floor has 2-light casement with ovolo mullion and hoodmould;
first floor of house has 2 similar 3-light casements, 2 gables rising to ridge
height, each with similar 2-light casement with dripstone. Attached to right,
1½ storey former stable with hipped pantiled roof, built around corner of house,
stable door with chamfered timber lintel to inner side, single storey addition
attached to front. Left return has door to left with timber lintel, 2-light C20
window at first floor as at front ground; 2-storey rear wing has ground and first
floor 2-light C20 window. Rear has all C20 windows and door, rear of wing has
ground floor 4-light and first floor 3-light, left side of wing has one 3-light at
ground floor and 2 at first floor; single storey extension to rear of house with
4-light window and door, 3-light at first floor and 2-light at attic; gable end
of stable to left has 3-light at ground floor, 2-light and slit window above.
