Pair of houses. Early to mid C19. Hammer dressed stone. Stone slate roof. Two ashlar stacks (one altered). Four storeys, two storeys to rear. Each house (Nos 5 and 6) has entrance and two-light window to ground floor. One three-light window to first floor (one altered) single light to second floor and two-light to third floor.
Rear elevation (No.17): two central doors (one blocked) with two-light window to each side the one to left being part obscured by small extension. To first floor is former nine-light stone mullioned window now with four blocked lights giving one two-light and one three-light.
