ST 49 SW SYMONDSBURY DUCK STREET

6/132 1, 2 and 3 Duck Street

G.V. II

Two attached cottages, formerly three. c C17 and C18. Rubble-stone walls
rendered. Thatch roof with gable ends. 4 brick stacks at ridge, one at right
hand is C20. 1½ storeys. 7 windows, renewed 2 light wooden casements with
glazing bars; some leaded lights to upper windows survive. Dormers with thatch
swept over from cill level. Front doors, on gable end wall at east end; towards
west end of row (No 3). Both wooden. Interior: No 1 of cruck construction.
Fireplaces back on to each other, formerly of Nos 1 and 2; wooden lintels over
with straight-chamfered segmental heads.
