ST 40 SW STOKE ABBOTT

4/261 Brimley House

GV II

Detached House. Dated 1734 (datestone over front door). Brick walls
in burnt header bond on a stone plinth. Red brick dressings for
windows and quoins. Slate roof, with parallel ridges. C20 brick
stacks at left and right hand gables. Double-pile plan. 2 storeys
with attics. 5 windows, sashes with glazing-bars. Gauged brickwork
to window-heads. Rendered plat-band between the storeys. Stone
doorway with moulded architrave. Wooden door with fielded panels
and 2 top lights, C18. Interior: fielded-panel window shutters.
Dentil cornices.
