Public House. Probably C17. Plaster probably on brick and
stone; reconstituted stone slate roof. 2 storeys, 3 bays;
1st bay projects under gable. 3rd bay gabled. Plain parapet.
Windows have horizontally sliding sashes, those to ground
floor with glazing bars, most with fixed upper panes. 1st
floor casements. Round-headed entrance with infilled fan.
1st bay has triple key to gable, with Standish arms. 2nd bay
has painted sign and ornamental iron bracket for sign
(missing). Cross-axial stack and stack to 1st bay. Interior
has chamfered beams and ovolo moulded fireplace bressumer
with seats flanking later fireplace.
