House. Late C18 and C19. Squared coursed limestone with Collyweston slate roof.
Originally 2-unit plan. 2 storeys with attic. 3-window range of C19 casements
under wood lintels. Central C19 part-glazed door is also under wood lintel. 3
hipped eaves dormers with casement windows. Ashlar gable parapets and brick and
stone stacks at ends. C19 extension to rear. Interior not inspected. Wall
attached to left of main front probably C18 restored C19 and C20. Red brick with
brick header coping. Encloses part of kitchen garden together with kitchen
garden walls and attached gates and gatepiers attached to south-west of the
Orangery and to the norht-east of (Gardeners Cottage (q.v.) and kitchen garden
wails approximately 50metres south of Gardeners' Cottage (q+v.)+ Gardens
probably originally laid out in about 1676 for James Tryon.
