Now a school. Large C18 mansion. 3 storeys and semi-basement. 2-3-2 windows.
Red brick on a stone base. Stone dressings. Hipped roof with Horsham slab tiles.
Centre portion of 3 windows projects slightly with a pediment over and semi-circular
window in tympanum. Stone cornice and parapet. Stone string course above ground-floor
Sash windows, glazing bars intact. Doorway in frame with pediment over supported
on consoles. 6-panel moulded door. This doorway is up 7 wide steps with a hand
rail on each side. On the west side of the house are 2 L-shaped stable buildings,
placed like pavilions to the rear of each side of the house.
Springfield Park, the stables to south, The Cottage and the estate wall form a group.
