The dower-house of the Balcombe Place estate. Late C17 house formerly occupied by
the Bray family. Two storeys and attic. Seven windows. Centre portion of 3 windows
and 2 dormers and projecting wings of 2 windows and one dormer each. Red brick and
grey headers on a stone base. Stone stringcourse and long and short quoins to the
wings. Wooden modillion eaves cornice. Horsham stone slate slab roof with hips over the wings. Casement windows with wooden mullions and transoms and small square panes. Doorway with rectangular fanlight having small square panes, curved pediment like a hood and door of 6 fielded panels. Contemporary staircase and older panelling.
