Farmhouse. Mid C18 with additions and alterations. Cement-rendered;
ashlar sandstone dressings and stacks; stone slate roof. 2 storeys
with attic. Three 1st-floor windows with wing to rear right; small
extension in angle. Projecting quoins. Panelled door in architrave
now set within C19 ashlar porch. Flanking windows have projecting sills
and C20 casements in square-cut surrounds with small keystones. 1st-floor
windows as ground floor. To right of centre a rectangular, ashlar,
sundial on stone brackets: iron gnomon, Latin inscription and maker's
name 'J. Metcalfe A.D. 1764'. Eaves cornice with inserted gutter brackets.
3 inset roof-lights. Shaped kneelers, gable copings. Shouldered and
corniced end stacks. Rear: right return of wing has earlier C18 door
surround to left and 3-light cavetto-moulded mullioned window to 1st
floor with fire insurance plaque to the left.

Interior: not fully inspected. Adam-style fireplace in ground-floor
room to right.
