Substantial detached house. Dated 1902. E J May. Brown brick, some red dressings.
Pantiled roof to eaves. Arts and Crafts manner. Two storeys. Six windows wide.
Irregular composition. Rusticated quoins. Entrance, below third window from right,
recessed in segmental hooded doorway with Portland stone quoins and corbels.
Panelled door with circular window. Large canted bay windows to right and left
of entrance; timber mullions and transoms, leaded lights with painted decorative
lead (?) frieze above each. Segmental arched window to left bay of ground floor.
First floor windows square headed; sashes, glazing bars. Coved eaves cornice above
first floor. 3 large dormers breaking up together through eaves and continued
within 3 roughcast pargetted gables. Each dormer with triple window, the centre
light of each segmental arched; dentil decoration. Lead gutter boxes (dated).
Tall chimney.
