House. C15 or earlier with later alterations and additions. C20 facade. Timber
framed, C20 plastered brick, batten decoration to first floor. Striated red
tiled hipped roof. Central red brick chimney stack. 2 storeys. 3 window range
of vari-light casements. Off centre C20 nailed plank and muntin door, segmental
head, moulded surround. House with crosswing to right, possibly of 2 or more
builds, but each build with heavy arched wall braces. The right crosswing has a
chamfered depressed segmental arch service doorway with a central carved youths
head wearing a flat cap, there may be another doorway adjacent behind the
plastered wall. Ground floor ceiling beams to rear bay of crosswing measure at
least 10" x 6". The bridging joist is not commensurately sturdy. Original
boards to bedroom floors. Brick floor in rear room. Probably inserted
inglenook fireplace to left range now partly blocked with moulded surround
fireplace. Vertically boarded door to staircase by chimney stack. Stop
chamfered bridaing joist and flat section ceiling beams, jowled storey posts.
Ceiling boarde to collars.
