Farmhouse, now house, near site of C16 house. Mid-late C18.
Knapped flint laced with brick and brick quoining, flint to rear.
Tiled roofs. Two storeys and cellars. Front block of 5 window
bays, with entrance in fourth bay opposite main stack, main parlour
to left with inner parlour at end. Attached to rear of left bay,
later C18 rear wing, now containing kitchen. Re-entrant angle has
stair tower extended to right gable by lean-to nursery, raised to 2
storeys in C20. Six-panelled door in heavy frame. Bays 1, 3 and 5
have 16-pane sashes of early C19, some rebuilt, and c1935 canted
bay on ground floor of bay 2. Vitrified brick headers in blind
first floor panels of bays 2 and 4, the latter with attached stone
tablet over door. Brick dentilled eaves. Roof hipped at return
with rear wing and half hipped at gable end.
