Farmhouse. Late C16 with early C19 alterations in Gothick style.
Considerably modernised internally c.1970 with a new wing to rear. Timber
framed and plastered, with a pantiled roof (black tiles to front slope). 2
storeys and attic. 3-cell form. Symmetrical facade. Shallow-gabled entrance
porch with wavy bargeboards; 3-centred entrance arch with raised springers and
key; three-quarter glazed door in 2 leaves. Flanking the porch is a pair of
unusual splayed Gothick pilasters with panelled bases, cusped ornament in the
splays and pierced cusping in the gabled caps. To the left and right bays are
French windows with narrow side lights and moulded pediments; each has a flat-
roofed open porch on tapering wooden columns. 3 C20 small-paned first floor
windows with hoodmoulds, the hoodmould of the centre window supported by a
pair of diminutive pilasters.
