Dovecote. 1714 on rear of door lintel. Limestone rubble with ashlar
dressings; old plain-tile roof. Square plan. Walls have plinth and are
quartered with flush ashlar quoining and banding; old plank door on west with
one-piece stone segmental-arched heady 2-light stone-mullioned openings at
high level on north and south. "I W" inscribed on quoin in south wall.
Pyramid roof with square wooden pyramid-roofed glover. Interior: Roof has one
row of purlins, ashlar-pieces to the rafters and a suspended octagonal ring-
beam bracketted from the principals. Intersecting beams at half-height have
central hole for potence-shaft. Walls are lined with stone nesting boxes.
Built for a member of the Wickham family.
