SU 16 NE FYFIELD CLATFORD BOTTOM
10/37 Eastside Cottage
II
Cottage. Late C17 or early C18. Sarsen and brick, thatched
roof. Single storey and attic, two bays, lobby entry plan.
Gabled and weatherboarded porch of C20, and C20 timber windows, but
two C18 iron casements with original glass on first floor. Left
bay of front rebuilt in brick early-mid C19. Roof hipped.
Interior central fireplaces blocked but large oven with plastered
flue. First floor partitions of wattle and daub and floor boards
laid diagonally.
