Shown on O.S. map as Rectory.
Rectory, now house. 1835. By John Plowman, Jnr. surveyor and builder of Oxford.
Limestone ashlar and coursed squared rubble; Welsh-slate roof and stone gable
stacks. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys; 4-window front with heavy dentil cornice
and plain parapet, has 2 storey canted bay, to extreme right, and a double-leaf
glazed doorway, with segmental-arched head, to right of centre. Reveals to
12-pane sashes have timber linings with decorative blind boxes. Main entrance in
left return. Sides and rear are plainer with similar sashes plus 2 tripartite
sashes under segmental arches. Interior: Stair with wreathed mahogany handrail;
contemporary fireplaces. Principal entrance was originally in main (garden)
front. John Plowman provided a package deal costing £1,553,15s.11d.
