Farmhouse. Probably C16, with C19 modernisation. Timber framed and plastered
with a slated roof. 2 storeys and attic. 4 windows, C18 3-light casements,
most with square-leaded panes. 3 of the ground floor windows have paired
boarded shutters. C19 doorway with 6-panel door, a panelled wooden architrave
with roundels and a flat-roofed porch on slender wooden columns. Internal
stack (rebuilt C19) and a later stack of white brick set forward of the roof
ridge to the right. At the rear of the service end is a C17 addition with an
original diamond-mullioned ground floor window and much of the frame visible
inside. Little timbering is exposed in the main range and the roof is a C19
replacement.
