3 cottages, now 4 dwellings. Early/late C18. Front range of 2 cottages: coursed
and uncoursed limestone rubble, colourwashed at front: right bay of colourwashed
brick; gabled and half-hipped thatch roofs; brick end and ridge stacks. 2
one-unit cottages at front attached to cottage at rear. Two ranges at front: one
storey and attic, 2-window range to right of one storey and attic, one-window
range. Segmental brick arch over C19 plank door with Welsh slate pentice,
flanked by flat brick arches over C20 casements: left bay has timber lintel over
C20 casement, and has Victorian post box: C19 dormer casement to right. C19 bay
added to right of front: of colourwashed limestone rubble, with gabled old tile
roof. Rear wing of similar materials, half-hipped roof, 2 ridge stacks and C20
extension to rear. One storey and attic, 4-window range with two C20 porches,
C19 two-light casements and C18 two-light leaded casements in dormers. Interior:
No.14 has chamfered and stopped bressumer over open fireplace with bread oven
and seat; chamfered beam; round and split elm rafters with thatch ties. Similar
roof in No.16 which has closed truss next to No.17: chamfered beam. No.15 has
chamfered beam.
