House. C17. Datestone P/1676/TM. Coursed ironstone rubble with C20 tile
roof. Steeply pitched roof with brick stack on left gable end. Two ground
floor windows flanking the entrance. On the left renewed stone surrounds with
inserted 3-light casement and hood mould with label stops. C20 window of old
post office to right. First floor has a 3-light stone mullioned window with
hood mould and label stops on the left and a 3-light casement inserted in the
stone surrounds on the right. 2- and 3-light stone mullioned windows with hood
moulds and label stops to rear. Interior: inglenook in the parlour. C20
staircase. The datestone is attributed to Thomas Parran. In 1687 the name
Thomas Parran appears in the Oxford Quarter Sessions as 'over ceare pore'.
