Barn. Probably C15. Regular coursed ironstone rubble. Thatched roof. Gabled
stone porch on north to 4th bay. Slit windows. Angle buttresses. Entrance to
porch has arch with keystone and stone surrounds. 6 bays. Quoins to 5th bay
indicate 6th bay possibly added. Interior: Roof has arched braced tie beams,
trenched purlins, windbraces, ridge with yoke and common rafters, some renewed.
Raised cruck construction. Probably built by Abingdon Abbey. Noted as being
similar to the New College C14 barn at Swalcliffe, but having modest character
and workmanship in comparison.
