Farmhouse. C17, possibly incorporating some earlier work, with later
alterations. Coursed stone rubble; stone slate roof, except C20 cement tile roof
to north-facing slope; C20 reconstituted-stone ridge stacks. T-shaped plan. 2
storeys and attic; 2-bay main range with single-storey-and-attic 2-bay
cross-wing to rear. Main front to north: irregular fenestration of casements
with wood lintels. Plank door to left return. Plank door to rear with sliding
wood ventilation grille. Interior: winder staircases from ground floor to attic.
Arched-braced collar truss to centre of cross-wing roof. Double-framed roof to
main range. Ceiling of ground floor room at end of cross-wing has chamfered
joists with ogee end-stops and chamfered spine beam. Open fireplaces to several
rooms, some having replaced bressumers.
