Boundary stone on Knott Mill Bridge
II
Township boundary stone. Probably C18. Sandstone. A low
round-headed slab with very slightly canted face, inscibed
lettering "TOWNSHIP" round the head and remains of lettering
on each side of centre line (so much eroded as to be mostly
illegible, but probably "MANCHESTER" and "HULME").
