House. Late medieval origins, remodelled in early C19.
Rendered walls. Hipped slated roof. Rendered chimney (probably
C20 brick) on right side-wall. L-shaped in plan with room to
either side of cross-passage, one-room-plan wing to rear left.
3 storeys, 3 windows wide, with doorway in place of centre
ground-storey window. Shop front to left: pilasters, display
window with enriched uprights having fleur-de-lys capitals.
Doorway and window have vermiculated surrounds, the ground and
second storeys having keystones decorated with female heads
(that over doorway mutilated). 8-paned sashes with horns,
except that in third storey upper sashes have only 4 panes.
Full-height flanking vermiculated pilasters; vermiculation
missing at left end of ground storey. Bracketed eaves-cornice;
its upper mouldings removed.
Interior: Remains of stud and panel partitions to each side of
cross-passage, part of shouldered doorway survives on right
side. Also remains of early moulded plaster cornice.
Small outbuilding attached to rear has two large stone stacks
and two fireplaces.
