Public house. Probably late C18 or early C19; altered and
enlarged. Coursed squared sandstone, the left portion
watershot, with random rubble sides and rear, and stone slate
roofs on 2 levels. L-plan formed by double-depth main range
with single-depth continuation to the right (and various C20
additions to the rear). Two storeys, the main range higher,
2:2 windows. The main range has a C20 gabled porch to the 2nd
bay, one large rectangular window to the left, 2 similar
windows above, and gable chimneys; the extension to the right
has a similar porch offset to the right, 2 similar windows on
each floor, and a gable chimney; all the windows at ground
floor have altered glazing, and all above are transomed
6-light top-hung casements. INTERIOR altered. Forms part of an
interesting group at Garnett Lees.
