2 houses, now offices. Early C19. Brick with stone dressings;
slate roof with brick stacks. 3 storeys with basement;
symmetrical 4-window range. 1st and 2nd floor sill bands, top
cornice. Windows have friezes with oval paterae and consoled
cornices, 16-pane sashes to ground floor; 12-pane sashes to
1st floor; 9-pane sashes to 2nd floor. 2 round-headed
entrances have fielded-panelled reveals; fanlights with
decorative glazing bars over 6-panel doors; Doric aedicules
with entablature blocks and open pediments. Gable-end stacks
and cross-axial stack. Basement area walls and probably later
railings. INTERIOR of No 45 has stair with decorative iron
balusters.
