Leadworks. Mid C19. Pennant stone rubble with Bath stone
quoins and dressings; Welsh slate roof with pantiles to right
(E) and stone and brick stacks to left and to rear elevation
facing Anchor Road. English bond brick with limestone
dressings. Rectangular plan with large stack to rear left.
2 storeys. 15-window south front with keyed segmental-headed
architraves to metal casements and outer doorways; moulded
string and cornice, both continued to lean-to on left with 2
keyed oculi over similar ground-floor window. Similar
architrave over doorway in wall on left, attached to Canon's
Marsh Goods Shed (qv). Circular chimney with a wide
oversailing moulded limestone cap. INTERIOR not inspected.
One of the few surviving structures associated with the former
industrial character of the area, with the goods station (qv)
and nearby warehouses. A good surviving example of its type,
distinguished by its fine chimney.
