House. c1820. Limestone and Pennant ashlar, gable stacks, roof
not visible. Double-depth plan. Neoclassical style.
2 storey; 3-window range. A symmetrical front has projecting
central entrance bay, pilasters to the set-back sides
rusticated to the ground floor and incised with Greek key
decoration to the second floor, a plat band, cornice and
parapet; panelled band below the first-floor windows of the
bay. A moulded semicircular-arched doorway, 3-panel fanlight
and 6-panel door, and small flanking windows. Ground-floor
windows have semicircular-arched recesses with radial
flutings, plain windows above, and a semicircular-arched panel
over the doorway; 8/8-pane sashes, plate-glass to side windows
of bay. Rectangular sunken panels above ground-floor cornice
to the centre. Rendered rear elevation has a central
full-height 3-window bow. INTERIOR not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: attached Pennant rubble side wall, and
ashlar front wall with moulded coping, a large tooled,
panelled gate pier from a single stone; cast-iron spiked
gates.
