House. c1848. Coursed rubble; plain tile roof with gables to
front; 2 brick composite stacks with spurs, bands and
decorated caps. L-shaped plan. Single storey and attic; gable
to right has 5-light bay on scrolled consoles, with coved
underhang, lattice leaded lights and pentice roof; 2-light bay
over, with cast-iron lattice glazing, in moulded wood case
with hood, set in painted timber-framing; cusped barge-boards
with spike-finial. To left, rustic porch with pentice roof,
and battened plank door with cast-iron light; to extreme left,
2-light mullion window with cast-iron lattice glazing under
shouldered drip course; gable dormer with 2-light mullion, and
cusped barge-boards with spike-finial. Right returned side has
two 3-light mullions, and 2-light gable dormers over, all with
cast-iron lattice glazed lights. 1848 in stone lettering on
gable: probably former school house.
