Group of 5 monuments. Late C18 and early C19. Sandstone. In an irregular
row, from north to south as follows:-
(i) Table monument: James, son of Richard and Elizabeth Thompson
(d.1814), et al: a scrolled slab leg at each end; moulded top, fully
lettered.
(ii) Slab: Sarah Barwick, wife of Thomas Barwick, (d.1785)j finely
lettered, with foliated initial "H"; includes short verse.
(iii) Slab: Hannah, daughter of Thomas and Hannah Jackson (d.1800), and
5 other children; finely-decorated arched head, with incised
foliated patterns and keystone, large roundel flowers in spandrels.
(iv) Slab: Ann, daughter of William and Hannah Musgrave (d.1793) and
3 other children.
(v) Slab: Sarah, daughter of Michael Oddy (d.1794), very large slab,
with moulded edge, arched head with fluted keystone, hollow
spandrels containing large and finely-carved winged angel heads.
