Circa 1600 with later alterations and modern section. Courtyard plan range
of buildings with barn parallel to road front and central elliptical archway
reaching to eaves level. Two storeys and attics on timber-framed plinth.
Four two-storey bays with many-paned modern wood casements. Moulded wooded
bressumer, jettied to right of archway. Front plastered with remains of wide
rustication. Archway is moulded with key block. Rough wooden entablature
below tiled roof. Three gabled dormers, 3 chimneys the right hand one with
T-plan. Two doors (Nos 3 and 4) to left of archway. No 2 entered under arch,
No 1 from modern extension to rear. To left is a tall red brick wall with
elliptical central arch, stone archivolt, a wrought iron gate and crested
capping. In the yard to south-east is a timber-framed wing with 3 gables
and a further lower one and a half storey wing with one dormer; 5 windows,
irregular, mostly modern diamond lattice casements, 3 doorways, including
Nos 5 and 6.
