GV II
Bridge. Probably c.1830 with later modifications. Rusticated sandstone
ashlar with red brick parapet, probably replacing an original open stone
balustrade. Tall round-headed arch with heavy voussoirs and keystone.
Ramped revetment walls to north and natural rock-lined cutting to south,
terminating in a pair of ball-capped piers (q.v.). The road underneath
leads from the former stables(Clock House [q.v.]) to Keele Hall (q.v.).
