House and shop. Early C19. Rendered front (probably
timber-framed in upper storeys), lined to imitate masonry.
Exposed front strip of left side wall has painted
slate-hanging. Slated roof. Rendered chimney on right side
wall. Appears to be double-fronted, double-depth; rear wing to
right, linking up with rear block which spans full width of
plot. 3 storeys with garret. 2 windows wide. C19 shop front to
left of ground storey; half-glazed door with flanking
pilasters, entablature with bracketed cornice. Plain C20
display window to right. Door with 4 flush panels to left,
running under No 7 (qv); it opens on to a passage leading to
rear courtyard. Upper storeys have 6-paned sashes in moulded
flush frames. Deep bracketed eaves-cornice. Flat-topped dormer
window to left (almost certainly a later addition); 2-light
wood casement with 3 panes per light. Royal fire insurance
plaque (no number) between second storey windows.
