2 houses. Early/mid C18. Painted roughcast over cob or
rubblestone, continuous steeply-pitched plain tile roof with
exposed rafter ends and brick stacks to gable ends and rear.
2-unit central-entry plans with rear wing to the right and a
lean-to rear extension to the left. 2 storeys; each house
virtually symmetrical 3-window range. Mostly 2-, 3- and
4-light flat-mullioned windows with three C19 panes to each
leaf, those to the first floor are at eaves level. Left return
of No.9 has small leaded light on first floor. No.11 to the
right has single light to attic floor, 2-light casement to
first floor and C19 leaded glazing to first-floor right, and
C20 three-light casements to ground floor. Both houses have
halved 6-panel doors with raised and fielded panels glazed to
the top under flat hoods. INTERIORS not inspected.
