Early C19 building. Red brick with hipped slate roof and 4 gabled dormers. Brick
chimney stacks. Three storey, 5-window range to first and second floors; end and
centre bays break forward slightly, pediment to centre with oval window in tympanum.
Windows are sashes with glazing bars, triple-light in moulded wooden frames to ends
and centre of first floor. These windows are in arched recesses with impost bands,
moulded string at first floor level. Ground floor has 5 segmental arcaded arches,
originally open but now filled-in with later shopfronts including Post Office. Oval
window in each segmental head.
