Part of manor house, now farm outbuildings. Medieval with alterations. L-plan.
Sandstone rubble with ashlar dressings; roofs of concrete tiles, pantiles,
asbestos and Welsh slate.
North-west range 2 storeys, 4 sections of 2 and 5 bays. First part at left,
altered c.1983, has concrete-tiled roof and renewed openings and porch. Next
part contains vehicle doors and may have been original courtyard entrance;
pantiled roof. Remaining parts have a variety of openings, mostly late C18 or
early C19 pitching holes over inserted vehicle doors and stable windows, but
with 4-centred arch near right end building.
North-east range 2 storeys, 4 bays, with projecting pent right extension.
Moulded 4-centred arch at left; wide steps at right to first-floor entrance.
Small blocked square opening at right under eaves and a similar opening above
steps; inserted door and pitching hole. Right return gable has large blocked
2-centred-arched window with tracery removed.
Interior not inspected but NMR drawing 1981/16, negative RB 81/968, shows roof
trusses with braced shortened principals, ending at collar; upper king-post and
2 levels of purlins.
Ruinous condition at time of survey except for renewed part of west range.
Brick pent projection from east range not of interest.
