SE 10 NE WHITE LEY BANK

20.11.79 Moor View Farmhouse

Former dwelling now only part occupied, part of group. C17 or early C18 altered.
East part rebuilt C19. Coursed rubble, rendered. Stone slate roof with chamfered
gable copings. Two storeys. North elevation: part blocked entrance with deep lintel,
to right. Later entrance. To first floor is former 2-light and 3-light window with
mullions removed. Brick extension. South elevation: one 5-light and one 2-light
double hollow chamfered windows, both altered. To first floor is C19 4-light window
with hollow double chamfered window to each side. Three-light to right, and 2-light
to left with mullion removed. Part collapsed lean-to extensions. East gable has
entrance and 3-light window, and one 4-light window to first floor, formerly with 3
further lights, now blocked. Interior: One simple truss with struts apparently
reusing 2 cruck blades. Loft supported on massive timbers.
