House, 1604 painted on bargeboard, of brown brick in irregular bond
with stone-slate roof. 2 storeys plus attics; L-shaped with
projecting cross-wing left and wing of 2 windows right. Flush square
chimney on right gable; C19 leanto kitchen against right gable.
Miscellaneous small casements and sashes, some leaded.
Interior: Stopped ovolo oak beam in front room in each main storey of
cross-wing; other chamfered oak beams; oak purlins; oak ridge-tree set
diagonally. The house adjoins Newton Hall, St Ann's Road.
