Early C19. 2 storeys grey headers with red brick dressings. Gable end
slate roof. 3 windows on east front the southern bay part of No 40 whose
entrance is round the corner facing south. Windows, recessed, sash,
glazing bars block sills, flat rubbed brick arches. Recessed door
No 41 with 3 fielded panels rectangular fanlight, moulded wood doorcase
with moulded roundel corner blocks, bracketed cornice-hood. South front
and entrance to No 40: one window. Modern door, but narrow rectangular
fanlight, moulded case, bracketed hood. The corner is rounded on ground
floor but stepped up to right agle on 1st floor.
