C18. Cob cottage with red brick above eaves. Thatched roof carried out over
weatherboarded outshuts at each end, vertical boarding. End chimneys. 1 1/2 storeys
with 4 dormers (roof tiled below each one). 4 windows, late C18/early C19 casements.
A square early C19 style bay window replaces earlier door, when building formerly
divided into 2 cottages. Simple wooden porch. Inside, north end fireplace remains
with oven entrance beam and hooks. Part of ceiling still with boards and trapdoors.
(with hood and pulley above) to allow transfer of furniture, coffins etc from
1st floor.
